“Our ancestors swung from the trees”
The esteemed professor opined,
“All apes, monkeys and chimpanzees
Are close relatives to mankind.
With gradual changes, in time,
Each kind went their separate way,
Then millions of years down the line
We arrived at the types of today.
Blind chance, without knowledge, selects
By natural procedures alone
The ones who survive and progress
From those it ‘decides’ to disown”.

Why show love if such were the case,
If only the strongest survive?
Why care for the rest of our race?
Self-advancement should rule our lives!!

In His own image, God made us,
And each species after their kind;
In loving-kindness He bade us
To care for the world He designed.
From Adam, all are descended,
No matter what nations or tribes;
“Ape-men” God never intended:
Such notions are devilish lies.
Each person’s your kith and your kin;
Don’t ever regard them as less;
By God’s grace, show love to all men:
Demonstrate the faith we profess!!
