Beyond the brown bogs are many tales untold;
Behind the blue hills hide many sights unseen;
The scenes that sight and senses now behold,
Are reflections of a mighty, all-wise Being.
The pleasures of a living, yet unknown,
Beauties of a kingdom vision can’t perceive,
Mental pictures formed but not yet born;
Who are we who dare to not believe?
Misty clouds have mesmerised our minds;
Patchy blues give glimpses of eternal light;
Shallow breezes give note of roaring winds;
Mortal cataracts hinder all perception of His might.
Beyond the brown bogs, an answer to our quest?
The blue hills, by chance were not begot:
Diverse scenes and functions of the universe
Bear witness to the awesome power of God.

Thank you for your comment Kora and I am pleased that you liked the poem. I did not ever learn poetry as a subject but there is a strong tradition in my family and I always loved to try. When I became a Christian I decided to try through the medium of poetry to bring the truth of the gospel to anyone who would listen or read my contributions, Vince.

Greetings. This poem highlights a very important truth; that we see only a tiny portion of all that is. So awesome is God who created all that is from the most far-flung galaxies down to the most intricate details on the sub-atomic level. Great reflection.
Have a blessed day in Jesus
