Preach in the congregation
In the words that God supplies,
With faithful application;
Let there be no compromise!
The devil knows line and verse,
And can quote for false intents;
Not in blatant lie and curse
Is he always evident.
Demons knew who Jesus was,
Declared Him to be God’s Son;
He rebuked their words because
They were of the evil one.
Just because the facts are right
Doesn’t mean it is God’s Word;
Only by His Spirit’s light
Can God’s truth be seen or heard!
