Not Philosophy But Christ

A puff of vapour dissipates,
Disintegrates without a trace,
Borne away as the wind dictates;
It’s vanished into empty space.
The philosophies of men are such;
Vain wisdom formed by finite dust;
Empty words that promise much,
Blown away with death’s cold touch.
But the Word of God will endure
Though all else is so unsure;
All He promised is secure;
All the prophets said is sure.
So if you’ve made Christ your Lord,
You will stand when others fall,
When God’s Kingdom is installed:
This age’s final curtain call.
