Never did anyone speak as this man spoke;
All marvelled at His wise and gracious words:
Was this He of whom the holy prophets wrote?
Never in Israel was such teaching heard.
With Gods’ authority He proclaimed the Word,
Portraying truth in every thought and deed.
His life and His talk completely in accord:
Christ and Gods’ law perfectly agreed.
The blind receives his sight and the cripple walks,
The lepers are made clean and the deaf can hear,
The demoniac is set free and the mute man talks,
The dead are raised!! Surely Messiah is here!!
He said, Before Abraham was, I am”
And, “Abraham rejoiced to see my day”:
How can this be? Who can believe this man?
Incarnation! Pre-existence!-most walk away.
But His Word is Spirit and He gives life:
Jesus Christ The Lord:- He has always been.
He came from God to be a perfect sacrifice:
In Him alone, Almighty God is seen.
